A great idea! But, from our research, we have found that many internet sites only offer an online valuation service and never actually visit your home. The very few that do offer a home service, offer it solely on the basis of taking the property details, not to offer advice, a valuation or marketing information. We must say, as a general rule they are able to offer very good exposure for your property, however some are now cutting back on this, with one large local independent agent now not using Rightmove, an essential tool for gaining that all important sale. They also generally employ young, inexperienced staff, who in a strong market are fine, as just order takers, but in a tough market that many have not before experienced are about as useful as a chocolate tea pot! But above all they charge you the price of a very nice holiday to sell your property.
